The events of I Am Alive take place in the city of Haventon, a place devastated by an unspecified cataclysm.
Adam Collins, our protagonist, is searching for his family, with whom he lost contact after leaving for a trip. Upon returning home, he finds no one to welcome him. He will then embark on a desperate search for his wife and daughter in a hostile world full of dangers.

Welcome to our video game section! Today we’re talking about a true masterpiece of the third-person survival horror genre, released in the late ’90s on the PlayStation!

The plot of “Brutal Legend” begins with Eddie Riggs, a roadie for a heavy metal band. During a disastrous concert, the stage collapses, and Eddie is severely injured. With blood flowing from his wound, the buckle of his belt comes into contact with a series of symbols and artifacts that evoke ancient forces. This magical event transports Eddie to a fantastical world inspired by metal imagery, known as the Kingdom of Metal.

The game is set in an isolated mountain lodge where a group of friends gathers to commemorate the first anniversary of the disappearance of two group members, the twin sisters Hannah and Beth. However, things take a sinister turn when the group discovers they are being pursued by a mysterious killer and must work together to survive until dawn.

The protagonist of Vampyr is Jonathan Reid, a London doctor. Upon returning to the city after World War I, he is attacked by a vampire and condemned to eternal life. Jonathan is forced to accept his cursed existence but seeks to understand why he was transformed, an “honor” certainly not granted to everyone.

The game was developed internally by the production company Capcom. This latest chapter marks a new beginning for the Resident Evil saga, as it distances itself from previous episodes by introducing a first-person perspective and a game world that is decidedly closer to the cinematic works of Tobe Hooper than to those of George A. Romero, which were a clear source of inspiration in the past. It is also worth noting that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard can be played in VR and that as of July 2, 2024, the title will also be available on smartphones and iPhones.
