Another I: when fiction comes to life

The relationship between an actor and the character they portray goes beyond simply reciting lines and moving on set. It is a complex alchemy, a fusion of emotions, thoughts, and sensations that leads to the creation of an alter ego — a “second self.” This video explores that subtle line that separates real life from fiction, showcasing some of the most iconic actors in cinema and their most famous characters, those who have left an indelible mark on our collective imagination.

Each actor, when they come to life through a role, transforms. But how much of that interpretation do they carry into real life? How often do the characters influence their personality or worldview? In this video, we see how the most disturbing and complex characters in the history of horror cinema have become true alter egos for the actors who portrayed them. From the face of a tormented hero to the mask of a killer, each actor gives a part of themselves to that “second self,” which sometimes seems to live parallel to their real life.

But the most interesting question is: how much does the character influence the actor? Names like Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, or Robert Englund have become inseparable from the characters they played, turning into true cultural icons.

In this video, we uncover not only the dark side of some of the scariest characters in cinema but also question how much of that fear, that terror, remains attached to the person who lent them body and soul. Actors create, but sometimes they themselves are shaped by the roles they portray.

Prepare to discover the face behind the mask and the fine line between reality and fiction. This is Alter Ego, where the actor meets the character, and the character becomes part of the actor.
