Daria Nicolodi’s meeting with Dario Argento in 1974 for the casting of Deep Red was decisive for her career and personal life.
The story follows Jennifer Corvino (played by a young Jennifer Connelly), an American girl sent to a prestigious girls’ school in Switzerland. Jennifer has an extraordinary gift: the ability to communicate telepathically with insects.
The story revolves around Marcus Daly (David Hemmings), a British jazz pianist living in Rome. After witnessing the brutal murder of a famous German psychic named Helga Ulmann (Macha Méril), Marcus finds himself caught up in a series of unsettling events. Determined to uncover the identity of the killer, Marcus begins investigating with the help of journalist Gianna Brezzi (Daria Nicolodi).
The story follows Stefano (Lino Capolicchio), an art restorer who is called to a small Emilian village to restore a fresco in a local church. The fresco, by local painter Buono Legnani, depicts the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, but Stefano soon discovers that the work hides something much darker.
