Death Stranding

Death Stranding

Death Stranding is a game that’s difficult to categorize. It is an open-world game with action and stealth elements, but it places a strong emphasis on the story and setting.

Plot

United Cities of America — this is what remains of the USA after the cataclysm known as Death Stranding, which brought the “Beach Creatures” into our world through the Beach, a dimension that serves as a bridge to the afterlife.
In addition to the Beach Creatures, a strange rain known as Chrono Rain appeared on Earth, which temporarily alters whatever it touches, accelerating the germination of plants and aging both men and buildings.

Due to these dangers, no one wants to leave the few safe inhabited areas, called “Nodes,” to travel from one city to another.

No one, except the “Porters”: men and women who challenge the Beach Creatures, bandits, terrorists, and Chrono Rain to bring new hope and a second chance to the world…

Sam Porter Bridges

**Sam Porter Bridges** is one of the brave “Porters,” who, following a “reemergence,” is tasked by the President of the United States with restoring contact between the last remaining cities.
Initially skeptical and reluctant, Sam accepts the mission when he discovers that it might allow him to reunite with his sister Amelie, whom he hasn’t seen in years.

Complicating the meeting between the two siblings are the Beach Creatures, the Homo Demens, the terrorists known as MULEs, and a strange individual who haunts Sam…

The Player

In the role of Sam, the player will primarily perform his duties as a “Porter,” transporting materials between “Nodes” and activating global communication systems to restore a sense of unity in the United States.
It will always be up to the player to react and interact with what they encounter along their journeys.

General Features

Journeys that can be expedited through the use of transport vehicles.
Although the gameplay may seem repetitive and boring, the desire to uncover the story and the past/future of the post-apocalyptic world of Death Stranding drives players to continue the game.

The graphic impact, voice acting of the characters, and music certainly help to keep players engaged in this devastated world.

What do you think?
