Stanley Kubrick

Born and raised in the Bronx, at the age of thirteen, his father gave him a camera, and young Stanley became so passionate about photography that by the age of seventeen, he was working as a freelance photographer for the magazine Look.

Stanley Hotel

Stanley built the hotel on land he had purchased from the Earl of Dunraven, an Irish nobleman. Today, ghost hunters claim that Dunraven’s spirit haunts room 407: the lights turn off on their own, and his ghostly face is often seen framed in the room’s windows.
