Lucifer

Another Friday, another TV series! Directly from our column… LUCIFER!
The TV series, based on the character created by Neil Gaiman for the comic book series “The Sandman,” quickly gained a massive fan base worldwide. With its unique plot, irresistible humor, and an exceptional cast, Lucifer has captured the imagination of viewers since its first season in 2016.
But what is this LUCIFER all about?
The series follows the adventures of Lucifer Morningstar, played by the charismatic Tom Ellis, who decides to abandon his role as Lord of Hell and move to Los Angeles, where he opens a luxury nightclub called “Lux.”
His life takes an unexpected turn when he gets involved in a murder case and starts working as a consultant for the local police, collaborating with detective Chloe Decker, played by Lauren German.
Lucifer finds himself facing a series of supernatural criminal cases while exploring his identity and his relationship with good and evil.
Beyond the investigative plot, Lucifer delves into deeper themes such as redemption, personal identity, and the struggle between good and evil. The series explores Lucifer’s desire to break free from his “devil” stereotype and find his own humanity.
One of the show’s strengths is its exceptional cast. Tom Ellis delivers an outstanding performance, bringing to life a charming, cheeky, and charismatic character. The chemistry between him and Lauren German helps create an engaging dynamic between the two characters, supported by a well-chosen supporting cast.
Rachael Harris as therapist Linda Martin and Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze add additional layers of complexity to the storyline.
The series originally began on Fox in 2016 but was canceled after the third season. However, thanks to the passion of the fans, Lucifer was saved from cancellation and found a new home on Netflix, where it was renewed up to the sixth and final season.
