Johnny Depp Tribute

We wanted to pay tribute to this great actor who undoubtedly deserves a video dedicated to all his characters in chronological order.

Biography

John Christopher Depp II was born on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, a small industrial town in Kentucky. He is the youngest of four siblings, including a brother, Danny More (known as DM), and two sisters, Debbie and Christie Dembrowski (his current manager), born from his mother’s first marriage. His father, John Christopher More Depp Senior, is a civil engineer, and his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, worked as a waitress. Depp’s family heritage is mainly Irish, German, French, and Cherokee. Johnny’s maternal grandmother, Minnie, was a Native American Cherokee, and his father also has distant connections to this people.
As a child, Johnny was often by the side of his beloved grandfather, who instilled in him a passion for gospel and music, but sadly passed away shortly after Johnny’s seventh birthday. The same year, the family moved to the coastal city of Miramar, Florida, where his father found work as the director of public works. Devastated by his grandfather’s death and the frequent relocations (around twenty after moving to Florida), which made it hard for him to make friends, Depp became a withdrawn and rebellious young man, more inclined to experiment with drugs than to focus on his studies.

At his uncle’s church, a Presbyterian pastor, Depp discovered music through the gospel played by his cousin. At twelve, he began playing the guitar. Self-taught, he founded his first garage rock band called The Flame, with which he performed in numerous nightclubs across Florida. The band later changed its name to The Kids. When his parents divorced in 1978, he lived with his mother and got a tattoo on his right bicep of a Native American chief’s head, symbolizing his blood connection to the Cherokee people.
