Ava Adore-Smashing Pumpkins

Ava Adore – Smashing Pumpkins is an album with dark tones…

Sweet yet sad melodies with personal references to death… and the unforgettable movements of BILLY CORGAN in the AVA ADORE video.

Personally, one of the band’s albums that I love the most…

Ava Adore – Smashing Pumpkins TURN IT UP ROCKERS

A Brief History

The Smashing Pumpkins are an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago in 1988.

The band was born from the idea of Billy Corgan (vocals and guitar) and James Iha (guitar), who were two young men passionate primarily about hard rock, new-wave, and psychedelic music at the time.

After an initial electric guitar/drum formation, bassist D’arcy Wretzky joined, followed by drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, after their beginnings with an electronic drum.

They are considered one of the most important bands of the nineties.

The group reached the peak of international popularity between 1995 and 1997 following the release of the double concept album *Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness*.

The band made a name for itself in the early nineties in the underground clubs of Chicago.

They offer music akin to metal and grunge, with dream pop, gothic rock, and psychedelic influences that make them both different and unique.

The lyrics of the songs always evoke a sort of pain (already from *Gish*, their first work), almost a discomfort or a melancholic vein, that would accompany the Smashing Pumpkins throughout their career.
