The first season (Mr. Robot Season 1) introduces Elliot Alderson, a cybersecurity engineer working for Allsafe who struggles with social anxiety disorder, depression, and hallucinations. He is recruited by a mysterious anarchist known as Mr. Robot to join fsociety, a group of hackers. Their main goal is to erase consumer debt by hacking the data of the multinational E Corp, which Elliot calls “Evil Corp.” As the season progresses, Elliot discovers that Mr. Robot is a projection of his deceased father and that his own mind has been manipulated to become the leader of fsociety. The season ends with a successful attack on E Corp, causing global economic chaos.
