Silent Hill
“The fear of the blood tends to create fear for the flesh”
Welcome to our video game section! Today we’re talking about a true masterpiece of the third-person survival horror genre, released in the late ’90s on the PlayStation!

All gamers who love horror have undoubtedly come across this terrifying title, which has left an undeniable mark on the history of video games!

Every time I see the landscape around me shrouded in fog, I can’t help but remember Silent Hill…

Plot

As Harry Mason, players find themselves immersed in the strange fog that envelops the streets of the quiet town of Silent Hill, searching for the protagonist’s missing daughter amidst monstrous creatures, hallucinations, and alternate realities.
Encountering characters you can never fully trust, you slowly uncover what happened in the once-peaceful American town, which has become the stage for dark rituals.

Unlike other survival horror titles, in Silent Hill, Harry is often exhausted and his aim is shaky (something that may disorient players a little), a plausible scenario given his profession as a writer rather than a soldier or policeman.

The choices made throughout the game lead to various “good” and “bad” endings!

What do you think?

How many of you remember the tension when trying to light up the darkness with Mason’s flashlight?
And the anxiety when the portable radio started emitting strange noises?
