Harold Cooper and Michelle Meyer are English reporters who run a YouTube channel about paranormal phenomena. They are contacted by Damiano De Loi, a thirty-five-year-old man living in the Italian town of Rocca Canterano. Damiano suffers from severe sleep disorders, the most recurring being the fade-out phenomenon, where the real and hallucinatory planes overlap, causing hypnagogic paralysis.
