Edoardo Vitaletti (Milan, January 20, 1996) is an Italian director and writer who has been residing in New York since 2015. After graduating in Film & TV Production from New York University, in 2021 Vitaletti wrote and directed the horror-drama THE LAST THING MARY SAW, featuring ISABELLE FUHRMAN, RORY CULKIN, and STEFANIE SCOTT. The film premiered at the twenty-fifth edition of the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal before participating in other festivals across the United States and Europe, including the acclaimed FrightFest in London. The Last Thing Mary Saw is currently available in English territories on the streaming platform Shudder—leader in genre film distribution—and will soon expand distribution to Central Europe, South America, and Asia. Vitaletti’s cinematic style has been described as “hypnotic, breath-holding” (Austin Chronicle), capable of generating “slow-burn tension that explodes” (IGN), as well as a “feeling of being inside the scene that is rare in low-budget period productions” (Roger Ebert). In a profile dedicated to him and the critical success of his first film, Rolling Stone Italy describes him as a “young auteur to watch.” Currently, Edoardo Vitaletti is in the works for his second feature film.
